The West Rim Trail is one of the classic hikes through Zion National Park. After taking a shuttle bus to the North of the park (a 1 hour drive), it's a 14 mile hike back to Zion Valley, descending 3,140 feet along the way. The first 8 miles of the hike don't offer too many views of the park, but the last 6 miles are spectacular.
