The day before our 'Rim to Rim' hike across the Grand Canyon, we stayed in Kanab, southern Utah. Since we had a day to spare, we took a trip to Bryce Canyon because it was so close. Not knowing what to expect, the canyon was spectacular, although sub zero temperatures and snow did obscure some of the views. We didn't expect the bad weather at the end of May, so it didn't bode well for our Grand Canyon hike the next day.
