The hike to the summit of Clouds Rest offers some of the most spectacular views in Yosemite, but surprisingly, very few people make the hike.  Starting from Tenaya Lake, the trail rises to 9,926 ft (almost 1,100ft higher than Half Dome) and with a 360° view from the summit you can see almost every landmark in the park. The view of Half Dome is so clear that you can watch the hikers struggle up the cables from several miles away.
